Wouldn’t It Be Cool If: we learned from PHILOSOPHY?

WIBCI: we understood and took control of fear?

The real destroyer of inner peace is fear and distrust. Fear develops frustration, frustration develops anger, anger develops violence.

    Dalai Lama

The whole secret of existence is to have no fear.

    Gautama Buddha

Do YOU feel that when you think about your future, is it with excited anticipation or fear? I believe the external world inserts the fear and knowing yourself diminishes it, what do YOU think?… more “WIBCI Post #35”

    Know Thyself :

    Think about this:

    Do YOU have any tattoos?

    If yes:

    • Where/when did you get it?
    • What does it mean to you?
    • How do you feel about it today?

    If no:

    • What do you feel about tattoos and those with them?
    • Have you ever considered getting one? If yes, what would you get and why haven’t you?

    Know Thyself:

    Try this:

Take off your shoes, and socks if possible.

Walk 10 paces in any direction.

Now walk 10 paces and really use all your toes, the ball of your foot and your heal.

Move about fully conscious of every part of your feet, ankles and limbs.

Notice how strong you can feel, how balanced and in control.

Imagine how conscious YOU could be doing anything with focus….what would YOU do?… more “Know Thyself Post #33”

    Know Thyself through LITERATURE:

I consider songs poetry and therefore, lyrics qualify:

    “When illusion spin her net
I’m never where I want to be
    And liberty she pirouette
When I think that I am free
    Watched by empty silhouettes
Who close their eyes but still can see
    No one taught them etiquette
    I will show another me”

    -Peter Gabriel Solsbury Hill

    Know Thyself through PHILOSOPHY:

    Who do YOU hate?

I’m not one of those people that think you shouldn’t hate. As long as you have a definition in mind if/when you use the word that is.

When you answer, consider ‘Hate’ in this context:

Who do you wish were eradicated from the face of the earth? Not just ‘not in my backyard’, not if only they would, nor can you answer with an idea or a sentiment that you wish didn’t exist. The answer has to be people whom are on earth right now that if you had your way would no longer exist.

    Know Thyself through PHILOSOPHY:

     Jean Jacques Rousseau believed that:

‘..if many individuals are to be united into a common social enterprise, forming a governing agency is less fundamental than forming a distinct society that its members think of as we, to become a member of a we one must share certain basic values, practice common customs, honor shared aspirations, and engage in degrees of mutual helpfulness and responsibility.’

Next time you are driving, turn off any and all electronics….. and….. just….. drive.

    Notice the cars around you.

I’ve found a proliferation of vehicles that are: Black, White, Grey/Silver, Red and a few Navy Blue. That’s all.

Besides some known culprits, have vehicle manufacturers stopped producing more unique colors or have we stopped buying them?

‘there was a message written in pencil on the tiles by the roller towel, this was it:

What is the purpose of life?

Trout plundered his pockets for a pen or pencil. He has an answer to the question, but he had nothing to write with, not even a burnt match. So he left the question unanswered, but here is what he would have written if he had found anything to write with:

    To be

    The eyes

    And ears

    And conscious

Of the creator of the universe

    Know Thyself through LITERATURE:

In Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, Faber defines Quality Information, the foundation for HAPPINESS.

‘Three things are missing; do you know why books are so important? Cause they have quality. And what does the word quality mean? To me it means texture, this book has pores, it has features, this book can go under the microscope.

You would find life under the glass, streaming past in infinite profusion. The more pores, the more truthfully recorded details of life per square inch you can get on a sheet of paper the more literary you are. That’s my definition anyway.

    Telling the detail, fresh detail.

The good writers touch life often, the mediocre ones run a quick hand over her, and the bad ones rape her and leave her for the flies.

So know do you see why books are hated and feared? They show the pores in the face of life.’

So where is YOUR quality information?

Here are some rules to go by:

    Quality Information is/does NOT:

    • Scrollable with a flick of the thumb
    • Have recaps, reviews, previews, or after shows
    • Feel like advertising with brief interruptions of entertainment
    • Promote propaganda opinions of the billionaire owner
    • Tell you what you think
    • Full of other people’s opinions
    • Say it’s ‘news’ when it is really editorial
