Skateboarders…..

I think kids that learned/are learning to skateboard are Better.

They spend hours trying, watching, learning, and most importantly failing.

Just because they want to.

I’m impressed by the focus and fearlessness that is necessary to get good at something that physically hurts and takes a LOT of time.

If I were ever interviewing someone, I would ask them to name something they spent a lot of time doing when they were young. Points would go to the skateboarders.

You have proven focus and aren’t afraid of failing.

I’d hire you.

Makes me think of the things I really focused on throughout my life. Like go-to-bed-waking-up-obsessed-with kind of focus. When I remember feeling in these moments, I don’t recall anxiety. I remember being happy.
